Japanese Three-layered Jubako: Beautifully crafted of the high quality plastic that looks like lacquerware but is more durable. About 8” high, three stacked layers, Red with gold embedded flower and cloud motifs. Inside are 3 layers of knotted, thin-sliced bamboo toothpicks for hors d’oeuvres, one layer has green accents for sushi and sashimi.  Bought in Nakashyō, Japan in the late ‘90s.  Contemporary.
