Three platforms for display of small Items. The Hexagonal piece on the left is made in the same way and with the same materials as a tatami mat. The other two are hand-crafted pedestals used to display the figures used in the displays commonly done during the Hinamatsuri Festival which celebrates the family. Commonly seen are large, multi-level displays of elaborate dolls representing several generation.These two display platforms are old and would be used to seat some of those figures. They are hand-made, painted black with gold designs and a red surface.
