Japanese ceremonial tea table. Excellent craft. The top is one piece square cut from the trunk of a 500 year old Hinoki tree and accented with a number of cherry wood inlays, hand-rubbed, complimenting the raised-grain surface of the Hinoki. Bought from an antiquities dealer in Nara, Japan in 1964.
