Pair of matched pocelain cats, one napping. The other is a traditional “Maneki Neko”, a cat with many legends and myths about it saving lives and bringing good luck. You will see one of them, with left paw raised, beside every cash register in Japan as they also represent good business! The sitting cat is about 12” tall. Bought in Kurashiki, Japan in the ‘90s.
